ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -- It was another big signing class for Head Football Coach Scott Maxfield as 34 student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to play at Henderson State University.
Among the 34 signees were 14 from the state of Arkansas including Bentonville High School quarterback Dallas Hardison.
Hardison had a stellar career at Bentonville throwing for over 6000 yards and completing 73.5 percent of his passes (377-of-513). An All-State selection and member of the Vype Magazine All-Arkansas Team, Hardison passed for 69 career touchdowns and rushed for 14.
In the 2011 Class 7A State Championship Game against Fayetteville, Hardison completed 31-of-40 passes for 370 yards and three touchdowns.
Wendell Thompson of El Dorado highlights the receivers signing to play for the Reddies. An All-State selection, Thompson collected nine receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in El Dorado’s 24-20 win over Lake Hamilton in the 2011 Class 6A State Championship.
Additional receivers include Rashad Shepherd of Conway High School, Corey Chappell of Rowlett (TX) High School, Cody Clayton of Sulpher Springs (TX) High School, James Jackson of Centerpoint High School in Birmingham, Ala., and junior college transfer Demitrius White of Feather River Community College.

A three-year letterman, Miller doubled as a return specialist having 17 kickoff returns for 319 yards and ended the year averaging 100.8 all-purpose yards per game.
